The joys of learning should not conclude with a high school GPA, college transcript, or even a diploma. At Octant Academics, we believe that learning is a lifelong pursuit that brings a rare depth of engagement with the world around us. Accordingly, we provide students with the skills and habits to succeed in any setting and the confidence and motivation to initiate their own intellectual pursuits at any point in their lives. 

At Octant Academics, we refer to ourselves as academic coaches. 

Although helping students develop competency in specific subjects is an incredibly important aspect of what we do, our ultimate goal is to help students discover the ability and confidence to navigate their own education.

Our Approach

Every student has a unique set of academic challenges, and this understanding is built into the core of our coaching philosophy. When working with one of our coaches, your student will receive dynamic support that centers on academic skill-building and the development of healthy habits that can be carried forward into any learning environment. We implement this approach in both our academic coaching and subject coaching formats. Areas of skill development include but are not limited to organization, note-taking, test-taking strategies, and self-advocacy in the classroom.

We also understand that monitoring your student’s progress in school can be overwhelming, especially in the fast-moving world we live in today. Our coaches are more than happy to monitor grades, teacher feedback, and upcoming assignments, discuss these topics with your student, and provide you with regular detailed reports.
